I am truly surprised at the restraint and „moral“ responsibility as Alexander puts it which the Russian leadership has displayed during this whole conflict.
It is a virtuous display of decency towards the deep state aggressors from the Western hemisphere.
What is also remarkable is the patience they have to remain calm, look at the details (in this case the damage to the Kerch Bridge which they they first assessed and quickly repaired and reopened to the best possible state and are determined to repair to full capacity again) and then decide on what actions of retaliation are really necessary, whereas the “other participants” seem to almost always lash out immediately after something happens and provoke ever more viciously.
The attitude of “poking the bear 🐻 ” is almost suicidal and begs the question, which I personally have no need to find out, how much farther will the western powers go to try and push / poke them into a real devastating retaliation and moreover what will that retaliation look like?
Just for thoughts: when a bear strikes out it does it with full force and with claws that take deep mortal wounds! Ask any North American hunter if he’d mess with an angry bear and see what he says..
my greatest fear is that the Russians won’t even signal their intent (similarly to when the rolled into Ukraine back in February) and deliver a devastating blow to the European parties that will shock the living hell out of the world and the beginning of the end of World War III will be initiated.
For all the doubters or non believers who keep saying this isn’t a world war we are in let me reply:
Wars always start with sanctions, which so manny countries joined in (including hypocritical Switzerland-which is supposed to be neutral) and continues in cinetic exchange of military means as Clausewitz once wrote.
We are in a world war wether you want to acknowledge it or not.
Last but not least : “but no nukes have been used!” Is a common sentence I keep hearing. My reply to all who still have tomatoes or apples in their eyes heed this truth :
When Nukes fly, this is the END of this war!!!
